Exciting Explanation Exploration!
The Super Smarties are on a learning journey to learn how to write an explanation so that they can share with others how the brain learns. Firstly they just 'had a go' and soon discovered that we do not know very much about writing explanations! So, what would an intelligent learner do now? Look at some exemplars of course! Thinking Interdependently the Super Smarties deconstructed exemplars to learn how to write one. They then used this knowledge to construct criteria and used the Habits of Mind to group the criteria. Awesome learning Smarties!

What's My shape?!
Faces? Edges? Vertices? Parallel Lines? Perpendicular Lines? What’s all this about? Well the Super Smarties have been learning about the properties of 3D shapes. Thinking Interdependently, the Smarties classified the properties of a variety of 3D shapes. Great learning Smarties!

It's Mind Boggling!
The Super Smarties got all sticky making the salt dough that they used to create a model of their brain. The super Smarties had to apply their knowledge about the different parts of the brain in order to sculpt the dough into the correct shape.

Mr O'Dowda Day!
What a way to say goodbye and good luck to Mr O'Dowda. We had such fun playing games, eating sausage rolls, playing gladiator and having the best water fight ever!
Hut Day!
Wow! What fun we had on Tuesday constructing our huts. The Habits of Mind that were utilised to solve problems, work with others and have fun was fantastic to see.
