Super Smarties Writing

Amazing Alphabetical Adventures!
The Super Smarties were inspired to write an amazing alphabetical adventure after listening to the Goal Miners Adventures. Here is Nathans:

Sailor Sam's Sunken Ships

Sailor Sam saw sunken ships. Sharks surrounded Sam's ships. Some sharks speed swiftly, some sharks swum slowly. Suddenly, super sailor Sam surrounded scary sharks. Somehow, somewhere, Sally saw Sam silently smothering some sharks. Sally screamed, saying "Stop Sam!" She saw several sharks. Speechless, Sally surveyed. Sloppy seas stopped Sam swimming. Struggling starboard Sam surprised Sally. Saved, Sam slept so Sally sorted some snacks.

 Memorable Memoirs

Life is memorable. The kids of Room 4 have been pondering some of their favourite memories of Mr O’Dowda and have captured their thoughts on paper. Awesome writing Room 4!

Mr O’Dowda Day

EEEEEEeeeeek! I just got sprayed in the eyes with a water gun. Here we are, the day has finally arrived! Well, no time for talking, I’ve gotta... Goodbye! I ran as fast as I could, but I was too late. Splash! Water trickled down my neck. Oh no. Miss Hunt just tipped a bucket of water on Mr O’Dowda’s Head. Any second now they will be after me. Squirt, make that a world record! I stopped, skidded to a halt to look at what was going on. They looked like bulls. Charging at whoever went past them. In other words they looked like they were wild hounds who lost their dinner so they are running around looking for another meal. I skidded again and landed in a heap on the table. No one noticed so I decidedto think of a plan...

We were celebrating Mr O’Dowda’s third to last day cause Mr O’Dowda was going to Richmond School to help kids from different countries. It was quite sad when we heard the news of him going, but pleased as well. Too late to think about plans any more cause someone had seen me. Then a whole lot saw me and, squirt! Phew, I dodged that one. I ran past someone who went squirt, squirt, squirt, now I was completely soaked. But when I thought I would drown with all this water. “5, 4” Mr O’Dowda was counting down, “3” almost done, “2, 1” Oh good, now I can rest my weary body. So I ran off keeping the pictures and moments in my mind. And you know what? That was the best water fight ever!

The Assembly

The library burst into laughter. People were screaming and shouting because on the screen was the most humiliating thing... It was... Mr O’Dowda and Mrs B in long sleeve, bright pink leotards! They had ribbons and they were dancing on their tippy toes and prancing around. Then, all of a sudden, ping! Mrs B leapt onto Mr O’Dowda’s shoulders. They were skating on ice in a disco. Soon, the library sounded like a herd of elephants. I was one of the elephants. The funny thing was that Mr O’Dowda had Mrs B’s head and Mrs B had Mr O’Dowda’s head and they looked like bubble heads and complete doofs. So then Mr O’Dowda leapt out in front of the whole school! Others thought it was funny. I thought so too, but also strange. Never seen anything more strange! So then we started singing again. That was one of my favourite assemblies.
